Elected officials offer help for vets
Representing the various congressional offices were Cheryl Webb of Markey's Lamar office. "Anytime people have trouble accessing the federal government, getting through the red tape, if you contact our office, we can help you," Webb said. "We can`t always fix your problems but we can get you information, let you know where things are in process, and sometimes if there is a difficulty there, we can fix that."

House overwhelmingly passes Markey's bill to rescind transportation earmarks
A bill to rescind hundreds of millions of dollars in unspent transportation earmarks won easy approval from the House today, giving Rep. Betsy Markey a legislative triumph. The House voted 394-23 in favor of the bill.

It's not up to them
One of the things I love most about Colorado's 4th Congressional District is its diversity of opinion: we are a District full of independent thinkers. When I first decided to run for Congress it was because, as a small business owner, I knew we needed an independent voice representing us. $2 Million Returned to Coloradans From Markey Casework
Rep. Markey says the cases she and her staff have worked on as part of this $2 million dollars involved situations where Coloradans were unable to cut through bureaucratic red tape to help Coloradans obtain more than $2 million and get the money that was owed to them from federal agencies.
