It's not up to them
The past few weeks there has been a lot of chatter from the DC political insiders about our race. They seem to think this election is up to them, but you know what? It isn't. One of the things I love most about Colorado's 4th Congressional District is its diversity of opinion: we are a District full of independent thinkers. When I first decided to run for Congress it was because, as a small business owner, I knew we needed an independent voice representing us. I am proud to be that independent voice in Congress and I am proud to represent our District. These DC political insiders seem to think our election is up to them: we're being called the 9th most competitive race in the country, as "toss-up" and a "lean Republican". There's even a Gallop poll showing Democrats winning nationally. With such a wide-range of "opinions" it's downright insulting they think this election is up to them. Stand with me and show the DC political insiders this election isn't up to them by following me on Facebook. When my husband and I started our small technology company, people didn't know what email was, let alone believe it was the way of the future. Despite that, we turned our little start-up into the one of the fastest growing companies in the country. When I bought a failing ice-cream store in Old Town Fort Collins nobody thought I could turn it around and make a profit. Within one year it was a booming success. If my background as a small business owner has taught me anything, it's that listening to the insider know-it-alls who say you won't succeed is bad for business. The DC political insiders think our election is up to them. Together we are going to prove them wrong. Together we are going to win in November. Warmest regards, Betsy Markey Member of Congress P.S. Together we are going to show the DC political insiders our election isn't up to them. Click here to follow me on Facebook.
