This has been a fun week! 
 
We have a goal of doing thirty house parties in thirty days starting in mid-August. We’ve started scheduling and organizing these in earnest and it looks like I’m going to have a crazy schedule. I’m looking forward to meeting lots of new folks, talking about the campaign, how we can win this seat and improve the 4th CD’s representation in Washington.

As I have mentioned before, I find it extremely heart warming when people go out of their way to support me. And while it has been great getting the endorsements of important business and political leaders I have to say my best endorsement to date came this week when Jon Magnie of the Subdudes volunteered to play at a party for me!  These guys are in the middle of a massive 50-dates-plus U.S. tour in advance of the release of their new album STREET SYMPHONY so I’m truly honored.  If you haven’t heard them play you have to make it a point to do so. 
 
We are presently looking for a good indoor or outdoor venue for this sometime in October or November. If you have any thoughts let us know by dropping an email to info@markeyforcongress. Stay tuned for an announcement of the date etc.
